1. About This Site

This site is a means for you to create RFID Smart Labels in small or large quantities as needed focused on meeting the major RFID compliance mandates. We will be updating this site regularly to keep in pace with the changes in technology and in requirements.

Currently this site is focused on producing EPC (Electronic Product Code) compliant RFID smart labels for shipping product to both Retail (Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Albertsons, etc) and the Department of Defense (DoD). We also offer a DoD label for companies without an EPC Manager Number. As long as you have a valid CAGE code you can make RFID Smart Labels that meets the DoD alternative Construct.

1.1 Who should use this site?

This site is ideal for any company in the United States that is shipping product and has to meet their customers RFID requirements. Reduce or defer your investment in a dynamically changing technology until it fiscally makes sense and standards are completed.

If you are shipping small quantities of product that require RFID labels this it the right site for you. Our low cost, pay as you go structure allows you to meet compliance requirements with minimal investment. It costs as much time as money in meeting RFID requirements and staying up with the latest equipment and tag requirements. Save your money, control your costs and maximize the use of your time.

If you are shipping large quantities of labeled product, this site is right for you.

  • What happens when an RFID printer goes down?
  • Are you paying for costly back up printers that you may have to scrap later because they can’t be upgraded as you had hoped?
  • Are you transitioning your operations, warehouse, or equipment and need a secondary source for RFID Labels?
  • Do you have a disaster recovery plan for RFID labeling?
  • What happens if you run out of tags?

This web site is a no/low cost solution to all of these problems. Set up an account and print a test label or two and you are in business. Impress management by thinking ahead and having a low cost plan in place.

Sorry, we are only serving the US for right now.

    1.2 Our Technology

We are using Alien Technologies EPC Class 1 Generation 2(Gen 2) 96 Bit tags converted into a smart label, accepted by both the retailers and the DoD. Our standard formats are for 4”w x 6”l and 4”w x 2”l paper thermal transfer smart labels. If you need something custom, we are able to produce smart labels in custom sizes as small as 4”w x 1”. If you do not need RFID Labels, but just regular bar code labels, please contact us at 800-211-0768 and ask to speak to a sales representative.

Since the Generation 2 Tags have become available, we began filling all orders with Gen 2 tags as of August 14th, 2006. If your requirements call for alternative technologies, please contact us, our supplies for Gen 1 technology are limited.

    1.3 How it Works

        1.3.1 Create an Account

First you must create a user account. Simply click on the “Register” Link and you will be asked accept or reject the terms of this site. Upon acceptance you will need to supply your company information, an EPC Company Identifier or CAGE Number (for DoD Suppliers without an EPC), a valid E-mail Address and a valid credit card. If you do not have an EPC Number, see “Where do I get an EPC Number?”

        1.3.2 Log In

Use your e-mail address as your user name and enter your password. Once you have created an account and you are not sure what to do, you may call us and we can help you through using the site for the first time. We may be reached at 800-211-0768 x.: 110.

        1.3.3 Manage EPC/DoD Numbers

You can create and edit additional EPC or DoD Numbers in the EPC manager section. When printing labels, we will give you the option to select an EPC or DoD number from a drop down box as well as use your customer information as default information. You have the option to over write and default information, but this will help make the process that much easier and faster.

        1.3.4 Print RFID Smart Labels

You will then be able to select the type of RFID tag you want to encode (for Pallets, Cases, etc.) and the format layout you want to print. You fill out the on-line form with your variable data and indicate the number of labels you wish to print. Verify the information and add it to your cart.

Print more labels as needed, for example if you need a pallet label and individual case labels. Labels will be added to your shopping cart.

        1.3.5 Check Out

When you are done simply check out. Confirm the delivery information and select the method of shipping. The RFID labels will be printed that day and sent out to you via UPS as selected. Label purchases made before 2:00 EST will typically ship same day. When you check out your credit card is verified and instantly billed.

An e-mail is sent to you acknowledging your order with a file attached that contains the information you printed for each label, including the EPC number in Hexadecimal form.

        1.3.6 View Past Orders

You can view past order information on line. This allows you to go back and see information pertaining to any EPC number you may have previously ordered. Right now this information will be held on-line for you for up to two (2) years.

        1.3.7 Tag Certification

Each tag is printed and read with a RFID reader at a distance of 10' as required by DoD and Retail Specifications. We also check the data to make sure is matches the data you provided. A letter of certification is shippexd along with the labels.
